Wednesday meeting 29 April 2009.

by admin on April 30, 2009

Brothers Rob davies, Ken Haines, Roger Burke, Liam Delahuntly, and Stuart Robinson met up at Hillingdon.

Ken took the chair, and opened up the Lodge rehearsal very well indeed.

After we had opened, Stuart showed theose present the 10 books of short talks written by W. Bro Ray Hollins. He gave a brief extract from talk no 90 entitled “The Broken Column”. In fact this is talk written by Bro. Ray’s great friend, Martin Jackson.

It prompted us to have thoughts of what can be done by us to be sure that widows and deceased members are not forgotten.

Ken then carried on and did the first part of the ceremony.

Roger then took over and continued in an excellent manner.

En route we had some fun trying to get the long sequences of letters in the book converted into those used in the Emulation ritual. However we made it !!!

Ken then closed the Lodge and Liam acted as SW for this part. Hence on his debut visit to a rehearsal he acted as candidate for the first, EA candidate’s questions for the 2nd, and SW for the closing.

We had to do that because we did not have any real fire with which to “baptise” him.

Next meeting is 13 May at Hillingdon – meet at 7.00 pm in Pangs Chinese Restuarant 305-307 Long Lane Hillingdon for a quick £9.00 buffet before we go around the corner to the Centre.
